1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using SubtitleFinder, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy page. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must have legal capacity to enter into these Terms, or use the service with the authorization of a parent, guardian, or other person legally permitted to act for you.

2. What SubtitleFinder provides

SubtitleFinder helps users search for subtitle files, identify matches for video releases, synchronize subtitle timing, optionally translate subtitle text, and prepare subtitle downloads. Some functionality is available through SubtitleFinder.com and some may be exposed through integrations such as ChatGPT.

SubtitleFinder does not provide, host, or locate movie or TV streams. Subtitle availability and match quality depend in part on third-party subtitle providers and on the information available for the selected release.

3. Your files and content

When you select a video for supported matching and synchronization workflows, the video remains on your device as described on the Privacy page. Local processing may read portions of the file to calculate fingerprints or analyze timing. Where a feature requires server-side processing, such as optional subtitle translation or preparation of a temporary download, the relevant subtitle text or subtitle file may be sent to SubtitleFinder.

You retain your rights in files and content you provide. You grant SubtitleFinder only the limited rights necessary to process that content to provide the feature you request.

4. Lawful use and third-party rights

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of SubtitleFinder, including searching for, downloading, synchronizing, translating, storing, or sharing subtitles, complies with applicable law and any copyright, license, contractual, or other rights that apply to the content.

You may not use SubtitleFinder to violate law, infringe the rights of others, interfere with or disrupt the service, bypass access or usage controls, probe or attack the service, distribute malware, or use automated access in a way that materially burdens the service or violates published technical restrictions.

5. Accounts and security

Some features require an account. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your credentials and active sessions, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access. SubtitleFinder may suspend or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or third parties, or to address violations of these Terms.

6. Paid plans and billing

Certain synchronization, translation, download, or other features may require a paid plan. Current prices, billing intervals, and included features are shown on the Pricing page before purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe; SubtitleFinder does not receive or store full payment-card numbers.

Subscriptions renew according to the billing interval shown at purchase until cancelled. You can cancel future renewal through the account controls made available by SubtitleFinder. Cancellation does not retroactively undo charges already incurred. Any mandatory refund, withdrawal, or consumer rights available under applicable law remain unaffected.

7. Third-party services

SubtitleFinder relies on third-party services for parts of the product, including subtitle providers, hosting and infrastructure, authentication, payment processing, and optional AI processing. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. SubtitleFinder does not guarantee that a third-party provider will remain available or continue to offer particular subtitle content.

8. Service changes and availability

SubtitleFinder may add, change, limit, or discontinue features and may perform maintenance or respond to outages, abuse, security issues, provider changes, or legal requirements. We aim to provide a reliable service, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability or that every subtitle will be accurate, complete, correctly synchronized, or available in every language.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, SubtitleFinder is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. SubtitleFinder is not responsible for third-party subtitle content or third-party services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, remedies, guarantees, or consumer protections that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Where liability may lawfully be limited, SubtitleFinder will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service.

10. Termination

You may stop using SubtitleFinder at any time. SubtitleFinder may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated violation of these Terms, for security or abuse prevention, when required by law, or when continued provision of the service is no longer reasonably possible. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination remain effective.

11. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as SubtitleFinder changes. The page will show the date of the latest update. If a change materially affects existing users, SubtitleFinder will provide notice when reasonably required. Continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
